OPALTON - YABBY CREEK DISTANCE 149 KM
Painted Firetail, Striated Grasswren, Rufous Crowned Emu-Wren, Spinifexbird, Chestnut- Breasted Quil-Thrush. Bush Camp at Yabby Creek.

Day 3 : Tuesday
YABBY CREEK - JUNDAH - COOPER CREEK DISTANCE 190KM
Jundah, Splendid Wren, Halls Babbler, Black Falcon. Barking Owl. Talk of the Night Parrot being sighted in area. Botanical drive en route to Bush Camp at Cooper Creek.

Day 4 : Wednesday
COOPER CREEK - BURKE & WILLS BRIDGE DISTANCE 442KM
Grey Falcon, Black-Breasted Buzzard, Bourkes Parrot, Crested Bellbird, Little Eagle, Gibber Chat. Visit to historic site of Burke & Wills Dig Tree. Bush Camp at Burke & Wills Bridge Cooper Creek.

Day 5 : Thursday
BURKE & WILLS BRIDGE COOPER CREEK- INNAMINCKA-STRZELECKI TRACK CAMP BUZZARD DISTANCE 350 KM.
Wedge Bill, Pied Honeyeater, Inland Thornbill, Peregrine Falcon. See Innamincka Historic Hospital. Bush camp at Camp Buzzard.

Day 6 : Friday, Day 7 : Saturday, Day : 8 Sunday
CAMP BUZZARD, STRZELECKI TRACK, ARKAROOLA DISTANCE 273KM
Crimson Chat, Orange Chat Cinnamon Quail-Thrush, Wedgetail Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Halls Babbler, Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby. Three nights camping at Arkaroola.

ARKAROOLA, MT LYNDHURST STATION DISTANCE 80KM
Today explore the western side of the Gammon Ranges National Park en route to Mt Lyndhurst Station in search for the Chestnut-Breasted Whiteface. Two nights camp at Mt Lyndhurst Station.

Day 12 Thursday
MT LYNDHURST STATION, FARINA DISTANCE 95KM
Explore the old town ruins of Farina. Tonight's camp at Farina. Ridge near Arkaroola

Day 13 : Friday
FARINA, MARREE, MUNGAERANIE PUB DISTANCE 265KM
Thick-Billed Grass Wren, Black-Tail Native Hen, abundant water fowl. One night accommodated at Mungaeranie Pub.

Day 14 : Saturday, Day 15 : Sunday
MUNGERANIE PUB, KULAMARINA STATION DISTANCE 90KM
Eyrean Grasswren, White-Winged Wren, Purple Blacked Fairy Wren, Black Falcon, Little Falcon, Red Necked Avocet. Camping at Stony Crossing Kulamarina Station for two nights.

Day 16 : Monday
KULAMARINA STATION, BIRDSVILLE DISTANCE 389KM
Visit (Big Red) Dune System, Simpson Desert, home for Australia's largest flock of little Corellas, Letter-Winged Kites and nests. Camp Birdsville Caravan Park.

Day 17 : Tuesday, Day 18 : Wednesday
BIRDSVILLE, EYRE CREEK DISTANCE 119KM
Grey Grasswren, Leter- Winged Kite, Flock Bronzewing, also land of the (Wadde Tree) rare Acacia species. Camp Eyre Creek Bush Camp.

EYRE CREEK, DIAMANTINA GATES NATIONAL PARK DISTANCE 344KM
Native Long-Haired Rat, Bilbyes, Freckled Duck, Red-Kneed Dotterel, Red Capped Robin, night transit spotlighting for Bilbies and other desert mammals. Camping at Hunters Gorge Diamantina River

Day 20 : Friday
DIAMANTINA GATES NATIONAL PARK, WINTON DISTANCE 314KM
On route Birding on the way, stopping at a Hot Artesian Bore to shower the bushmans way. An optional visit at the Matilda Centre on arrival at Winton. Last night camp at Matilda Country Tourist Park.

Day 21 : Saturday
WINTON, TOWNVILLE DISTANCE 599KM
Today say farewell to the Channel Country.
