Wawel Hill



Wawel Hill is a Jurassic limestone rock, a dominant feature in the landscape of Cracow (about 228 m above sea level), formed about 150 million years ago.

This place is a must visit for foreign tourists that prominently highlights the history and culture of Poland. Situated on the bank of the Vistula river, the hill not onlyoverflows with priceless art treasures, timeless architectural beauties but its is also full of glorious and magical history.

Wawel Hill is blessed with Wawel Cathedral, which is truly an architectural masterpiece. Most of the Polish kings and their family members are buried in the cathedral together with national heroes, poets, saints and numerous bishops.
